"We had a wonderful experience working with Sarah Greening Photography. She was quick to respond to texts & emails, friendly & easy to talk to, and was a pleasure to work with. Sarah had an outgoing personality that helped us feel comfortable during our photoshoot and there was a quick turnaround on our photographs. Most importantly, Sarah was able to help us capture a beautiful time for our family, with photographs that we will cherish for a lifetime."

When should I reach out to schedule my senior’s portrait session?I start booking senior sessions as early as March for the following school year. It’s best to contact me as soon as possible to get on my calendar in your preferred season.
-
What’s the best time of year to schedule senior portraits?Senior sessions are typically scheduled anywhere from July through November, depending on what type of season and weather you're looking for.
-
Do you book on weekends and weekdays?Yes. Sessions can be booked Sunday through Saturday, assuming availability.
-
Can you shoot indoors?I am certainly happy to shoot indoors and have done so in the past, however, I do not have a personal studio. Indoor sessions must be booked and arranged by the client.
-
Can we reschedule due to bad weather? What if my child is sick?Yes. I understand that life happens. I do my best to keep sessions scheduled as planned, however, life and mother nature sometimes have other plans. I just ask that you communicate with me as soon as you know you need to reschedule.
-
What if I like more than the number of images included with my package? Can I purchase more pictures?Absolutely! All packages have the option for you to purchase additional images. Your gallery of proofs will be provided for you to choose the images you want retouched. All images chosen will be retouched.
-
Do you require a down payment?Yes. A down payment of 50% is due to reserve your session. The remaining balance is due once proofs are selected.
-
Where is the best place to take pictures? Do you have location suggestions?Yes, I have a comprehensive list of amazing places in Racine and Kenosha that I will share with you when booking your session. I am also willing to travel for an additional cost. Together, we will find the best location for your session.
-
How many outfits changes can I bring? Each package offers a different number of outfit changes due to the time allowed for the session. Keep in mind that the more outfits to change into, the less time there is to shoot.
-
What should I wear to my session? It’s best to wear clothing that you are most confident in and that is comfortable to move/pose in (sitting, squatting, kneeling, standing). Dresses with pockets are great and bringing a variety of clothing (dresses, pants, shorts) helps to provide different types of poses. The best attire to photograph is solid colors and/or small repeating prints (small floral prints, small plaid, etc…). Layers (jackets, sweaters), and accessories (statement necklaces, earrings, and scarves) also look great.
-
Can you do some light retouching?Yes. I can help erase or minimize any non-permanent marks as needed. This may include minimal acne that snuck up, a scratch or bug bite. Typically, it’s a simple retouch that is included with your session. In the event you need more advanced editing, we can discuss retouching options for you to decide.
-
Can I bring props?Absolutely! I encourage seniors to bring items that help to represent them and their time in high school (sports equipment, musical instruments, books, art portfolio, letter jackets, etc…).
-
Can I have pictures taken with my dog?Sure! Friendly dogs are welcome! I recommend bringing treats or toys to keep their attention for photos.

I do my best to keep sessions scheduled as planned, however, understand that things happen out of our control. I just ask that you communicate with me as soon as you know you need to reschedule. I do not reschedule due to cold temperatures and will work to reschedule with you if it's raining.

What should our family wear to our session? What you wear for your session truly makes a difference. It's best to coordinate outfits instead of matching them. I would suggest finding one or two colors that you like that are complementary to each other (or you can go monochrome and do varying shades of that one accent color). Then, mix in neutral tones for bottoms/tops (browns, creams, whites, grey, etc). Consider what colors look good on your skin/hair color as well as what looks good with your home decor. The best attire to photograph is solid colors and/or small repeating prints (stripes, plaids). Layers (sweaters, vests), textures (lace, corduroy, tweed, linen), and details (statement necklaces, scarves, bow ties) also look great. Please avoid wearing bright green and or bright red on top as these colors project onto shadows and highlights. If you want more inspiration, Pinterest has some great outfit ideas.
